Mailing A Post Card Guidelines

In order to properly mail a postcard. The United States Postal Service requires the postage side to be set up to certain specifications. If your mailing piece does not meet these specifications, you may incur additional postage charges. Please review the following guidelines to avoid problems before they happen. Preparing postcards according to Postal Service Guidelines allows your mail to be delivered as quickly and affordable as possible.

Postcard Template For Postal Mailing

  1. Leave 5/8" of an inch from the bottom for barcode routing information. If your job has information in that area, there is a good chance that the postal office will cover it up with a label to help it go through the system.
  2. There is a 3.75"x2.125" blank space from the bottom right hand side above the barcode area. No information should be included in this area.
  3. Any logos, graphics, or screens in these two areas will cause the mailer to be kicked back and, or additional postage charges.
